Year 2024 DJ Mix – Reggae Music DJ Mix
Clinton Fearon is a Jamaican reggae singer and musician who has lived in Seattle, Washington, since 1987. He was born near Kingston, Jamaica in 1951 and was heavily influenced by the music found at his local Seventh-day Adventist church. Fearon began his musical career in Jamaica, founding his first band called The Brothers at age 16. In 1969, he joined the reggae group The Gladiators as a singer and later as a bass player and background vocalist. He remained with the group until 1987, often appearing as the lead vocalist on songs like “Chatty Chatty Mouth”, “Rich Man Poor Man”, “Get Ready” and “Let Jah Be Praised”. In the late 1980s, Fearon left The Gladiators and settled in Seattle to launch his solo career. He formed the band The Defenders in 1989, which enjoyed moderate success with their EP “Rock Your Bones”. In 1994, Fearon formed his current band, The Boogie Brown Band.
