Vinnie Paz, whose real name is Vincenzo Luvineri, is an Italian-born American rapper and producer from Philadelphia. He is best known as the frontman of the underground hip-hop group Jedi Mind Tricks and the hip-hop collective Army of the Pharaohs. Paz started rapping in 1993 with Jedi Mind Tricks member Stoupe in his basement. In 1996, they released their debut EP Amber Probe. Their first album The Psycho-Social, Chemical, Biological & Electro-Magnetic Manipulation of Human Consciousness followed in 1997. Paz launched his solo career in 2010 with the album Season of the Assassin, which peaked at #25 on the US Billboard rap charts. He has since released several more solo albums, including God of the Serengeti (2012), The Cornerstone of the Corner Store (2016), and The Pain Collector (2018).
